Food Waste Composting - Bokashi Composter

Place all your kitchen waste, including bones and meat, into the airtight container and sprinkle with a handful of supplied Bokashi mix. When full the contents of the kitchen composter can be safely transferred into a traditional compost bin or simply dug into the garden. Liquid feed can be drained off which is alive with beneficial microbes. This can be diluted as a plant feed or poured down drains to prevent algae build up and prevent odours. This process does not produce foul smells or attract flies so the container can be safely kept in the kitchen.

Buy two composting buckets for a useful rotation method.

Once the first bucket is full it can be left for a further two weeks to continue the composting process. In this time the drained 'tea' can be collected from it every few days. With a second composting bucket you can continue collecting your kitchen waste until it's time to swap them over again. A simple and effective method.
