A great experiment kit for any child with an interest in science, which consists of a rotating arm with a solar panel at one end and a propellor at the other end. Under sunlight, the solar panel will power the propellor, which in turn will cause the arm to rotate.

Not only is this a useful demonstration of solar power, it has many uses as an experimental tool as well. The kit contains instructions for a number of experiments, including using the propellor to make your own ammeter (to measure electric current) or radiometer (to measure electromagnetic radiation).
